Guest teachers in this class draw the group into relating with
Biblical issues and characters. They use a variety of shorter,
self-contained studies that make this class easy to jump into on any
Sunday. Singles and married couples, middle-age adults.
Bible Study Fellowship
(Room 312 – Leisure Ministries building, top floor)
This class welcomes anyone who is interested in studying and reading
the Bible book by book. Dynamic conversation helps you incorporate the
Bible into your everyday life. Singles and married couples, mixed ages.
Celebration | Website

In a shared leadership format, this discussion class explores
individuals’ spiritual pilgrimage with God through Biblical and modern
literature. They feature a high level of acceptance, integrity, sharing,
fun and service. Singles and married couples, mixed ages.
Contemporary Issues | Website

This class explores a wide variety of topics, shares ideas and shows
respect for contrasting viewpoints. Class members build their community
of faith through helpfulness, laughter and prayer. Singles and married
couples, mixed ages.
Faith Explorers | Website

This class explores spiritual and religious topics from a Christian
perspective, and is open to different views and opinions. This is a
class for adults wanting to have new understandings and a fresh look.

Friends in Faith | Website
(Room 212 – Main building, top floor)
On Sundays this class discusses a variety of topics, including
spiritual, social, and relationship issues within the framework of
faith. Discussions are led by class members. The class also gets
together regularly for social events and works to serve others through
participation in church and community service opportunities. Primarily
adults in their 30s and 40s with kids, but all are welcome!

This class centers around Bible-based applications for everyday
life, including raising children and building relationships. They are a
fun, family-oriented class that enjoys being together, whether at a
class social or working on a mission project. The friendly and
comfortable atmosphere will surely make anyone feel welcome. Mostly
married couples, middle-age adults with children.
Medlock-Friendship
(Room 110 - Main building, ground floor)
Named after founding church member Dr. Medlock, this class is a
friendly, caring group of senior adults who are active in all areas of
the church. Class teachers use the Adult Bible Study Series from
Cokesbury to lead weekly lessons from Scripture. Several founding
members of Trenholm Road United Methodist Church still attend this class
faithfully! Singles and married couples, older adults.
New Life
(Room 115 – Main building, ground floor)
This class enjoys creative teaching, group discussions and a
diversity of topics related to living life as a Christian in today's
world. On the first Sunday of the month, members share writings about
spiritual stories. Every fourth Sunday is a lesson on
wellness/wholeness. They also get together for ongoing spiritual mission
projects and socials. Singles and married couples, mixed ages.

This is our young adult class at Trenholm Road. Every Sunday this class looks at selected scriptural readings and how they apply
to the individuals’ own faith journey. Singles and married couples, younger adults (ages 20s-30s)
Spirit of Fellowship | Website
(Room 114 - Main building, ground floor)
This is an eclectic group that loves to pursue spiritual growth and
understanding in a relaxed atmosphere. They feature theological and
social consciousness, topped with a big heaping of old-fashioned
Christian love and nurturing. Lesson samples include: Reading the New
Testament, Contemporary Christian Music, South Carolina Mentoring
Programs and “Pray Without Ceasing”. Singles and married couples, mixed
ages.
Sunday Morning Small Group | Website
This new class meets on Sunday mornings at 10am in room 115 (bottom floor of the Leisure Ministries building). They study Scripture each week using an online resource called Faith Element. This class is for anyone and everyone to 'come as you are' - leave your bow tie and high heels at home and gather around the Word with us in a casual, friendly atmosphere!
