Stephen Ministry at Trenholm Road
Stephen Ministry trains and organizes lay people to provide one-to-one Christian care for hurting people in and around our congregation.
Stephen Ministry provides congregations all over the country with the structure, training and resources to administer a complete system of care for the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, and others facing a crisis or life challenge.
Stephen Ministers have participated in 50 hours of training and are well prepared to give distinctively Christian care to those who need it. Stephen Ministers are not licensed therapists, but will walk beside anyone who needs more than a casual friend but not a licensed counselor. Those receiving care are paired with a Stephen Minister of the same gender and the relationship is held in the highest confidence. Read More about Stephen Ministry.
