Our MinistriesTrenholm Road is structured into Core Ministry Teams. These teams work to plan and implement the ministries of our church. They are comprised of a staff liason and volunteer members of the church.

ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Adult Christian education offers a wide variety of opportunities to know and experience God. We grow in the love of Christ through studies and personal connections as we discover how questions and answers unfold in community and how God is in our relationships.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES (Infant-Grade 5)
Children’s ministries provide a wealth of fun and meaningful programs to teach our children and guide them in their spiritual growth. We teach, play, help, love, serve, call, create, pray, sing, visit, guide, do puppets, greet, tell stories, meet, eat, learn, plan, make crafts, listen, paint, organize and live our faith.
CHURCH AND SOCIETY
As Christians we are challenged to prayerfully and thoughtfully advocate, educate and encourage the congregation to address human issues in the contemporary world, from a sound biblical and theological foundation, as historically demonstrated in United Methodist traditions.
COLLEGE-AGE AND SINGLES
Our ministries with college students and single adults of all ages offer opportunities to singles for learning, fellowship and spiritual growth; and offer college students, whose “home church” is TRUMC and those from out-of-town attending school in Columbia, an opportunity to experience God’s love.
CONGREGATIONAL CARE
Congregational Care supports ministries designed to share the compassion and love of Christ with persons in times of need. The team strives to meet the care-giving needs associated with bereavement, illness, living in a residential care facility and living with special needs.
EVANGELISM
Evangelism supports ministries designed to reach those who seek a more meaningful relationship with Christ and His church. The team strives to minister to the special needs of new members, inactive members and the unchurched in our community to draw them into full participation in the life of the church.
FELLOWSHIP AND LEISURE
Fellowship and leisure are important aspects of building spiritual community. They allow us to gather together as a church family in a comfortable and informal environment. The team plans and implements fun, educational and social activities that offer opportunities for warm fellowship, meaningful relationships and personal growth for both members and the community.
MISSIONS
“Love your neighbor as yourself,” Jesus taught his followers. Missions is a key ministry area through which we reach out to our neighbors—down the street and around the world—to share the love of Christ. The needs are many—physical, spiritual, emotional and social. And TRUMC is committed to reaching out and making a difference.
WORSHIP
Worship is the centerpiece of the Christian community. In worship we seek to glorify God through preaching of the Word and music, to reaffirm our beliefs through creeds, and to offer our gifts for ministry in the world.
YOUTH (Grades 6-12)
Youth ministries provides opportunities for our teenagers to grow and mature spiritually as they actively experience a personal relationship with God, a loving Christian community and the chance for being a disciple of Christ to the world. Adult leaders, participating in youth ministry, serve as models and mentors in the life of faith.
